Yuki Kajiura, “Maybe Tomorrow” I need your opinion

Yuki Kajiura can also do cheesy pop songs. But this one below, is “different”. Well, some say that it’s the worse arrangement ever, but I think it is kind of original.

I love the way the cheesy pop song is weaved with a medley of instrumentals (themes from the Xenosaga soundtrack).
It’s like we’re on a grand epic journey. This is a kind of arrangement I have never heard before (knowing Kajiura) and I wanted to know your opinion about it.
Am I the only one to appreciate it?

The song is performed by American singer, Emily Curtis (who also worked with Yoko Kanno on “Ghost in the Shell, Stand alone complex”).

When the pop part gives way to the medley part, you think the song is over, but it is not. The medley just starts and unravels different moods and speeds, it’s a real musical journey.
