I’m all excited because there are new Yuki Kajiura materials to listen to this beginning of the year : “Shin Kyuuseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken Raoh Den Junai”.
It has been released end of February, and I was wondering whether to comment it or not. But I decided that from now on I will comment every new Yuki Kajiura release.

You probably know the famous anime “Fist of the north star”, this is the soundtrack of the latest movie. I remember watching this anime when I was a kid.

Ken

There is pretty much nothing that we don’t know of in that new Kajiura work. It’s very Kajiuran, no big surprises, and it bears similarities with her past work. Kajiura fans out there, if you are waiting for brand new materials, you will not find it in that last OST. Maybe we’ll be more surprised with the next work to come, “El Cazador de la bruja”.
Nonetheless some tracks did retain my attention, and the whole soundtrack is all in all a very good work though not original to us, Kajiura fanatics.

1. RAOH: I love the unexpected dramatic choirs in this track.

2. Where the lights are: The classical Kajiuran sad song. Very ethereal.

3. Fatality: Classical Kajiura song here as well. Beautiful choirs, as always. The strings gives the chants so much strenght and depth.

4. Yuria #2: Main theme, once again it is the final choirs that won me over.

5. Hikari no Yukue: Remember my post about “Maybe Tomorrow” and its weird arrangement. Here is a bit the same style, voices mingled with long parts of instrumentals,it is even weirder here.
It is totally the Kajiuran style.
It starts with regular singing, then techno beats pop in from nowhere, then the singing gives way to instrumentals. But this time, the singing does not wrap up the song in the end.
