Here is the last post regarding the “Tsubasa Chronicle” OST music (2006).
This album gathers all the best vocals from the serie.
Since Yuki Kajiura did compose all the 4 soundtracks, most of the songs here are composed by master Kajiura.
Some of the songs are sung by FictionJunction. But you will find a bit of Maaya Sakamoto and Yui Makino that I already mentioned many times in previous posts!

First, let me remind you what FictionJunction is.

FictionJunction is Yuki Kajiura’s solo project. FictionJunction is mainly a collaboration between Yuki Kajiura and a (female) vocalist.
Depending on the singer, a FictionJunction name extension is added:

FictionJunction ASUKA with Asuka Kato.
FictionJunction KAORI with Kaori Oda.
FictionJunction KEIKO with Keiko Kubota.
FictionJunction WAKANAwith Wakana.
FictionJunction YUUKA with Yuuka Nanri.
FictionJunction YUUKA was Kajiura’s first and longest collaboration under the FictionJunction name. They were originally called “FictionJunction featuring YUUKA”, but later the “featuring” part was dropped as it made the name a bit too long.

The funny thing is that in the Single covers and even in the music videos, Yuki Kajiura seems to be in retreat. She is always in the background, and rather in a blurry background, and makes some very rare or very short appearances in the background of videos.

FictionJunction YUUKA, but where is Yuki? Oh yeah, the little dark spot behind…

I really love that collection, all the songs below are great hits! I’ll start my playlist with the sad songs and finish with the more joyful ones.

1. Ring your song: Incredibly sad song. Written by Yuki Kajiura, sung by Eri Itoh, who sung most of the “Tsubasa Chronicle” Ost vocals. I really love that song, I feel so sad whenever I listen to it. The strings are heartbreakingly beautiful.

2. You are my love: Composed by Yuki Kajiura, sung by Eri Itoh. It’s the romantic love song par excellence, it just makes you melt your heart. Just think about your precious one, the song will do the rest.

3. Kaze no Machi ye: “To the Wind city”, by Yuki Kajiura, sung by Keiko. I love this song as well, the melody is so moving. You just want to close your eyes and let the music get under your skin.

4. Dream Scape: Written by our Yuki Kajiura, and sung by Kaori.

5. Tsuki no Shijima: That song is so soothing, Yui Makino’s voice is so innocent and sweet.

6. Loop: Sung by Maaya Sakamoto. I love that song, so catchy you just wanna sing along (if only you could…) “kono hoshi ga tairanara futari deaete nakatta otagai wo tooi sageru you ni hashitteita” It’s the Ending theme.
I know I always find excuses to put photos of Maaya Sakamoto whenever I can… Forgive my weak nature…

7. Kazemachi Jet: Sung by Maaya Sakamoto, composed by Suzuki Shoko. This one is catchy too, makes me smile. It’s the second season’s ending theme.
So Kawaii!

8. Tsubasa: Written by Kajiura, sung by Kaori in English…(hmm). Damn, I love all those songs, they are all catchy and addictive.
