I already mentioned lolita gothic Japanese band Ali Project in a previous post, so please check it if you want to know more about the band.

I wanted to do a “fave playlist” of their albums, just like what I did with Ayumi Hamasaki’s discography, but it turns out to be more fastidious than I thought. So in the meantime, before I’m done with that post, I’m reviewing my favorite songs from their “Avenger” soundtrack (2003).

I have not seen the “Avenger” anime, although it’s from the same animation studio than “Noir”, “Madlax” and “El Cazador de la Bruja” (Bee train). And it seems likes it’s chicks with guns once again. So maybe I’ll have a closer look at it, especially since the main character looks like Madlax (I love Madlax). Well the whole character design looks like a mix of “Madlax” and “El Cazador de la Bruja”.

1. Mayu: I love that mysterious uncanny atmosphere. I have two favorite tracks in that playlist, and it would be that one and the “Torawareta no Tamashii ” one. The latino style guitar is great here. Arika Takarano’s singing is really different here from her habitual performance.

2. Mother: Theme song, I love the melody. Arika Takarano’s voice goes high up in this track.

3. Horobi no Hoshuu: Orchestral intrumental. Beautiful.

4. Matenrou no Utsuro: Nice orchestral instrumental again.

5. Torawareta no Tamashii: This time it’s a modern instrumental.

6. Koufuku no Zouhei: Nice instrumental. Sorry but today I’m not talkative.

7. Agape: Some sad track to end up the playlist.
