Penpal situation update 2

Here I am again with my penpal situation update. I wasn’t really honest in my last update so let me straight things up.

PENPAL WEBSITES

I indeed haven’t met anyone through the penpal websites I registered to, and you cannot blame me for trying but I guess I am a regular profile amongst others so I’m not even surprised of that desert of answers.
So I am still Japanese-penpal free.

OK CUPID

BUT, since the first day I registered to the online dating website okcupid (check the post here), I did receive many messages (it’s been already one and a half month.)

So in a way I did make penpals. As we talk now, I am still corresponding with 2 of them. (there is a third one, but I am not corresponding with him often as penpal #2 from the same country feels a bit jealous…)

Penpal #1 is in Paris although I haven’t met him. He is in a band that is totally my style of music (NIN Indus-like music) and does create his own music. I will certainly mention him in one of my future posts if he allows me to. I’m currently collaborating with him for the cover of his next album.

Penpal #2 is travelling all around the world thanks to his job. He’s kind of my soulmate. We’re the same and it’s really fun to talk to someone so similar. He is more into classical music (perform in orchestras).

As a precaution, I did mention on my profile that I wanted friends only, and that horny guys could check another profile.

But it didn’t prevent me from receiving some serious threesome requests from people around the world, that were to travel to Paris… It was rather funny, because everytime it was the bf or husband asking me for his gf/wife…And I guess they were into Asians…
(Sorry but I am interested only if you drop the word Japanese in the request)

Anyway, my conclusion is that okcupid is a nice site with nice people and I am happy to have inadvertently registered to it.

COUCHSURFING

I also mentioned that I was in the Couchsurfing program (view post here) offering my couch for people travelling in Paris.

Well, I did receive many requests, but did all turn them down because it wasn’t fitting my schedule. But I still hosted some couchsurfers in spite of me.

My friend didn’t find her keys after a party we went to, and she was hosting someone that night. So in the end I had to host both of them.
I also met many couchsurfers that were crashing at my friends place.
It’s a very interesting experience to live, meeting people from all over the world really opens mind.
So offer your couch!
