I really love this Claymore soundtrack, I’m totally transcended by it when I watch the anime.
It’s a pure wonder to have that soundtrack. It both mixes modernity and traditions within the album but within the songs as well.
There are electric guitars, traditional Japanese bells (I still haven’t found the name of the those bells, someone help me!!), bagpipes, flute…
You will see for yourself.
I put the sad songs and traditional songs first, followed by the modern, electric-guitar ones and then I ended with the more epic songs.
Enjoy it, I really loved it and I really do hope you will buy the soundtrack.
1. Erabareshi Mono: I have a weakness for sad tracks. This one is a sad one. Totally beautiful, with its hint of
electric guitars. Very Japanese-like.
2. Kokoro no Kizuato: Not only it is sad, but it is also hearbreaking. Sigh…
3. Youma no Okite: I love those Japanese bells. I want a set myself! Does anybody know how they are called?
4. Kakusei no Kodou: Under the spell of the ethnic bewitching chants.
5. Kanashiki Shukumei: Very Japanese-like. Lyrical. It’s really beautiful, I can’t help but close my eyes.
6. Yobikakeru Kioku: Celtic theme, with the bagpipes. Then it gets very zen, with water sound.
7. Ooki na Ken: This is the action theme, I love it, the guitars, the melody. It’s totally Claymore. From here start the electric guitar tracks…
8. Kirisaku Monotachi: The beginning reminds me of one of the “Kill Bill” tracks. Anyway, it rocks. I adore how it ends.
9. Souzetsu na Shitou: The electric guitars are absolutely awesome. This track rocks even more than the previous one! One of my fave tracks along with the sad tracks.
10. Shoukei: This one is really different from the rest of the soundtrack. It feels like it doesn’t belong here. That’s how I feel it. But the track is absolutely gorgeous. You will like it from the first hearing.
11. Kusenshi: The drums are excellent. It’s very dance-like, wait until the “chorus”. Electro-beats.
12. Kakugo he no Midare: This one is really weird. But in a nice way. Very special.
13. Utsushiki kariudatchi: Betwitching chants will lead the way to the light.
14. Ginme no Majo: First track of the soundtrack, so very representative of the Claymore atmosphere. Very epic to begin with, but then very get mysterious until it gets to the point.
15. Bishou no Teresa: It’s so romantic, it’s how I feel it. This theme could suit the arrival of Prince charming. And it’s maybe how it feels like when Teresa is around. She is so brave and noble.
16. Seijan Naru Tatakai: It’s epic as well, very middle-age-like. Wait until the songs unfurl to the chorus, the theme is awesome!
PS: Finally I found out I didn’t have any problems with the server. The only thing was that I’m using a free server and that for legal purpose it’s restricted to France only. So now that I’m in Hong Kong, I can’t access it anymore.
I have to find a another way around. For the moment I’m using another of their free server that seems to work abroad. I guess it’s because it’s a very old server I used since 1999.
