I finally took the airline I mentioned before on this blog, l’avion, which consists in 90 business class seats only.

I didnt remember a Paris NYC lasted a whole 8 hour… So the time didnt really fly by although the seats were rather comfortable and the plane half empty.

I did fall asleep while watching Leo di caprio’s documentary, 11th hour…

Landing at Newark, Liberty airport…

I hate all the immigration process and security procedures to go to the states!!!

The first thing I saw when I arrived in the arrivals terminal was the Starbucks… :)

The first thing the taxi driver said once he started the car was “Are you from Japan?”

The first night in NYC city was rather boring. I went to a French restaurant named “Les Halles” and it was not bad at all. I highly recommend it.
I dont recommend their creme brulee though and had to complain about it.

After 2 weeks abroad, my phone bill reached the critical peak of 1400 usd…
That’s really bad…

2nd day around times square, we had dinner at “Birdland”, a Jazz bar-restaurant, it was nice, really pleasant, with Billy Stritch playing. And I had a lot of Louisianne/Bayou specialties like a Gumbo (Seafood stew).

Then, we went to Hogs and Heiffers… I know I shouldn’t support the macho guys by going to that kind of anti feminist places but I have to admit it was rather nice to put myself in the socks, or rather in the pants of a guy and check out those wild girls dancing on top of the bar.

For those who saw Coyote Ugly, you must know which bar I’m talking about. Photos are forbidden.

It was amazing to see all the bras that were hanging from the ceiling, the thousands of stickers and the amazingly kitsch and country decoration.

But of course the most breathtaking scenes were the 2 barmaids (very few people on president day=less barmaids) that were dancing and singing on top of the wooden bar with very little clothes on.

It was hard for me to look them in the eyes when they talked to me.

Price of a drink is 30 dollars… We spent bunch of money within an hour…

I left at the right time… when they started asking the ladies to dance on the bar with them…
I was already all bundled up with gloves and everything when she came to invite me to jump over the bar…Fortunately she didnt insist when I said NO!
