Hello from Tokyo

What a trip.. although I departed from HK in the morning, it took me the whole day to get to my hotel in Tokyo Beach area, Odaiba/Daiba station.
It’s a bit far away from downtown… For professional reasons I will stick around there.

The taxi is a rip off, it costs 230 usd to go from Narita to where I stay… It’s more expensive than in NYC!

I have a nice view on the docks from my room. The weather is not the best but as long as it doesnt rain like in Hong Kong…

And behind the hotel, we have that absolutely gorgeous view of Tokyo.
Well it looks more like NYC…

It’s a very quiet, business/industrial area. So there is not so much to do. Big malls, cinemas, and a great wooden deck along the bay to walk around.

I am very surprised by the shops we have there. The style is very very American, like vintage American and Hippie (clothing and gadgets).

Stores and restaurants close pretty early here. I was surprised to find almost everything closed by the time I finished walking around.

I ended up in a Kyoto style restaurant, which specialty is sake and tofu. It reminds me of Shizuru…

So I was delighted to have some Tempura, Suhis, Tofu and some Sake cocktail.

The sushis were delicious. The first time I came to Tokyo, I did have sushis at the fish market. But it was way too fresh for me…
But this time, it was perfect. The rice stick together when you grab it with the chopsticks, but as soon as it is in your mouth, it just melts…And doesn’t feel heavy.

I tried some fried tofu with melted cheese, and it is absolutely delightful. Yummy.

You probably noticed that I didn’t mention any girl study :)
Well, it is true that I didn’t pay much attention… I am so in love now that I live in my little bubble.
But as you probably already know, when girls are cute here… They are not half cute… They are cute all the way.
Here it is a different dressing style than downtown. So far… I could see that they were more dressed like in HK. With mini skirts… Which I didnt notice in Tokyo downtown… But last time I came on Sept. and it was typhoon days…

I noticed that people are not so polite as I noticed the first time I came.
Don’t get me wrong, they are polite… But it is not as warm as the first time.
Maybe the first time, you feel things differently, and in an awesome way…
