Depressing effect

Before you wander your mouse over the player below, I suggest you check on the weather.
Yes you heard me well.
Look out the window and check if it’s sunny or rather cloudy.

If you are lucky enough to have a sun shining day, I recommend you immediately quit reading this entry and flip through the previous one.

Why all these precautions?
It is simple, as the title augurs, listening to either of the two tracks below might cause some severe temporary depression.
You heard me! Depression!. If you don’t believe me, just listen to the whole track and you’ll experience it by yourself. Anyway, I would have warned you…

1. La Sola
This song, in Italian, is an excerpt of the “Fate Stay Night” soundtrack (2006), by Kenji Kawai. It is the absolute sad song, mortuary-like. It’s really heartbreakingly beautiful, it pierces through your heart. You catch the melody right away, just like if it was an air that you always knew. Like though it was a classic.
It could be in my songs-that-made-me-cry list but it actually never made me cry. But it could. It could.

2. Mabara na Hikari
“Mabara na Hikari”, by Akira Senju, is an extract of the “Red Garden” anime soundtrack (2007). It’s a rather sinister anime and the song is one of the main theme. It totally sets the atmosphere. The main theme is absolutely catchy, I loved it the first time I heard it even though it was “weirdly” sung by the character (or I should say the Seiyu)
And I liked it even more when it is “properly” sung by Kokia in the soundtrack.
I recommend all the 5 songs sung by Kokia in this soundtrack, they are little treasures. Kokia’s multipurpose voice can pretty much sing anything, from pop to opera. Her voice is full of emotions.
